Overall Satisfaction with TIBCO Data Virtualization

We used TIBCO Data Virtualization to develop an API for transferring data from one source system to another destination system. We also developed various APIs using different types of connectors like Salesforce and AWS. We developed both inbound and outbound flows and processed streamlined data using Apache Kafka and automated business workflows.

There we limited connectors available in TIBCO on the Salesforce side which led us to deal with some scenarios using Salesforce APEX. If TIBCO Data Virtualization integrates with other systems chances of slowdown depend on the application load, the number of connectors usage. If the number of logic used and connectors used are more it slows them down.
Tableau Desktop is a tool that is used to visualize data from different data sources and develop dashboards that can be published on various platforms. Here integration is not required and data can be directly attached. In Tableau data mapping cannot be done where as TIBCO Data Virtualization has a facility of data mapping.

TIBCO Data Virtualization is mainly suited for Salesforce integrations where we can create, update and query the data from Salesforce. There are multiple custom connectors available like Salesforce pardot by which we can develop Inbound or outbound flows based on business requirements and build APIs. There are also multiple connectors on Amazon like Amazon redshift, Amazon s3.
