Overall Satisfaction with Cision Communications Cloud

Cision Communications Cloud (TrendKite)* is managed by the marketing and communications team at my organization and we use it to share news in the nanotechnology field. Media monitoring is a time-consuming task for public relations professionals like myself. Cision is not only useful, it is a necessity that literally saves hours of work every day.

  • Cision is able to tailor your search query to your specific needs
  • Cision is entirely automated once set up which makes it easier for your organization.
  • Cision has a terrific earned media coverage estimator.
  • Cision can sometimes send irrelevant articles that drive employees away from actually reading email notifications.
  • Cision is expensive for start-up organizations, making it difficult to justify its subscription to senior management.
  • Google Alert
I have never used a product like Cision Communications Cloud other than Google Alerts that tend to miss key articles.
Cision Communications Cloud is a brilliant tool for large organizations that need to monitor positive and negative articles through a media monitoring system. It is less viable for small organizations because of the cost.

Transition from TrendKite to Cision Communications Cloud

Cision (TrendKite) does an excellent job for helping clients set up their media monitoring system properly. They are also easy to reach in case we need to modify our search terms.
