We need UniFi in this day and age!
Overall Satisfaction with Ubiquiti Networks UniFi
Ubiquiti Networks UniFi's strength is in its ease of deployment, use, mass management, restoration, price, and dashboard information. We use it for multiple client sites and manage it under one roof. The biggest issue it addresses is keeping hundreds of access points, switches, and controllers all doing their thing. It also is good at adjusting multiple access points automatically so they aren't stepping all over each other if a perfect site survey hasn't been done.
Pros
- Easy deployment
- Simple management
- Excellent dashboards
- Overall pleasant GUI
Cons
- Hardware released too early
- BGP not available
- All configuration recommended to be done via GUI
- Almost zero calls from customers with WiFi issues
- Cheaper than Meraki or similar equipment
- Lessened device management workload
- Aruba Networks Wireless LAN (WLAN) and Cisco Meraki Insight
They are two different animals. One was an enterprise-level CLI-based deployment/management tool I used at VZW and the other is a GUI deployment/management tool fit for small/medium businesses that don't want to devote teams of people to manage it.
