Overall Satisfaction with Ubiquiti Wireless WAN
To provide and support a wireless network for my house and my family's business. A seamless transition between wireless APs and PoE switch to provide power to APs and cameras to add security. My Edge router provides enough computing power to set up and support the network with countless options for ease of use and providing the necessary security in this day and age.
- Nice GUI.
- Set and Forget.
- Price for quality.
- Transition between Unifi vs Edge GUI.
- Some setting still need CLI.
- Necessity of CloudKey.
- Ease of setup.
- Transition between AP's.
- Cost vs Quality.
- The cost of the equipment vs. my uptime is streets ahead of typical consumer equipment.
- Adding additional AP's is extremely easy and little to no downtime for setup.
- Transition between Unifi and Edge equipment can be a little clunky but it works.
I've used Meraki AP and switches in a large-scale organization and Ubiquiti on a smaller scale. There is a big cost difference, and due to the different sizes and scope of the projects, it's difficult to compare or contrast. Both have worked great for each organization.
