Overall Satisfaction with UKG Ready (formerly Kronos Workforce Ready)

Used across the entire company--6500+ employees.

Used as the HRIS--manages anything employee related: data, onboarding, training and certification records, demographics, etc.

Problems it addresses--maintaining an accurate employee database, historic data, keeping on top of certification records, etc.

  • Notifications
  • Relatively simple-to-use look
  • Ability to schedule reports with more than 3,500 lines
  • Simplify overall look and functionality of security profiles
  • Custom forms--looks, functionality
  • HR actions--looks, functionality
  • Smart date handling in reports--more options, as they are very limited
  • Customizability--ability to customize more of the generic fields within the system
  • Org map can be vastly improved--looks too basic
  • Inability to proxy in as a user to see what issues they are running into (this is the most important improvement that's needed, in my opinion)
  • I would say it had a positive impact on our business, as before this we were using a spreadsheet as our HRIS
  • Vastly improved reliability and ability to maintain an accurate HRIS
  • Notifications and automatic reporting have been a huge help in increasing efficiency
Obviously Workday is a much more expensive and refined product. However I would say if we were to look at the pure basic functionality of an HRIS, UKG Ready (formerly Kronos Workforce Ready) holds up pretty well.

UKG Ready (formerly Kronos Workforce Ready) could definitely learn a lot from Workday--especially in its talent module.
UKG Ready (formerly Kronos Workforce Ready) is an above-average system--its basic functionality is good and it does some things well. There is definitely room for improvement in a lot of areas.
I gave it this rating because it's an above average product. An example of why this rating isn't higher is because it doesn't have the somewhat basic functionality of proxy/login as an employee to assist issues that they are facing.
Provides an above average level of functionality, however each of those modules definitely needs more refinement and simplification to get a higher rating.

I would recommend UKG Ready (formerly Kronos Workforce Ready) to small to medium-sized businesses (200-2,000) as it does do your basic HRIS functions well.

Although it has a good foundation--when you're using it for larger companies like ours (6500+ employees), we basically need to use every module to its fullest. Unfortunately a lot of the modules within the system aren't very developed and only allow basic functionality.
