Overall Satisfaction with UltiPro

UltiPro is used throughout our organization. We use it to manage several processes including onboarding, PTO accruals, benefits administration and our annual review process. It allows us to share relevant and timely information with our managers so they can better manage and support their staff. The key business process addressed by UltiPro for our organization is the ability to address and handle the complex regulations regarding withholding and reporting for sports teams.
  • UltiPro handles tax withholding for mulitple jurisdictions on a single check. UltiPro does an excellent job calculating taxable wages for employees who work in multiple jurisdictions during the same period and allows us to manage all jurisdictions on a single check. Our previous payroll system required separate checks to be cut for each employee for each taxing jurisdiction.
  • UltiPro is extremely reliable and easy to use. Training of new employees is quick and Ultimate Software provides a number of training opportunities free of charge such as Quickcasts, Webcasts and traditional classes via UltiUniversity.
  • UltiPro's mobile version has provided our managers with real time information at their finger tips wherever they go. It is quick and easy to use so it provides our HR and Payroll staff to approve workflow when they are away from the office. This has allowed changes to be processed more quickly, keeping our employee records as up to date as possible.
  • Check reversal and adjustment process. They are cumbersome and cause confusion as the employee is able to see these changes in their check history.
  • Handling of negative wages. UltiPro needs to be able to handle the processing of negative wages (i.e. repayments) as a separate adjustment without having to do a reversal and adjustment.
  • Consulting services - Include a requirements gathering call for all consulting requests. Clients don't always know what is available or the best way address their need. We had a few issues with the service request description being taken literally. It cost us time and money and could have been solved with a simple requirements analysis.
I have used UltiPro for the past 16 years while we evaluated several other products in 2011, UltiPro still provided us the best value for our organization.
It is well suited for organizations with operations in numerous taxing jurisdictions. It makes handling paying these employees simple. It also works well with a mobile workforce or workforce that works non-traditional hours. UltiPro mobile and Employee Self-Service gives employees and managers 24/7 access to the information they want and need.
