Overall Satisfaction with UltiPro

We use UltiPro for recruitment, onboarding, performance management, payroll, and ACA services. Employees have the ability to manage some of their own data using Employee Self Service, which helps the HR and Payroll departments focus on more value-added items rather than simply on data entry into the system.

Pros

  • ACA services are very valuable. The system does a great job of analyzing the data and applying the appropriate codes.
  • UltiPro continually updates the product and uses customer feedback in the update process.

Cons

  • The PTO functionality is pretty limited. It would be nice to add more features to that functional area.
  • The Recruiting module offers some great improvements over the prior recruitment solution, but there are some critical pieces that weren't carried through from one product to the other, including the ability to make some customizations and include calculated fields in the process of generating letters to applicants.
  • Consolidating HR administration under a single solution
We previously housed payroll and HR information in different systems. By combining everything in one system, we've eliminated duplicate work and have gained significant efficiency.
UltiPro is very well suited to a company that is comfortable with a product that is highly customizable. Consultants are available to assist with questions and will warn you of pitfalls as appropriate. An in-house administrator with excellent attention to detail and mid-level IT background is helpful as a small misstep could expose employee data to a wide audience.
