Overall Satisfaction with Unitrends Recovery Series Backup Appliance
MCMC uses the Unitrends Recovery Series Backup Appliance every night to backup all of our data that was created each day. In the event that we need to recover some data or a department wants to restore some data, we have the ability to go back and retrieve the data. The appliance is used hospital wide across all departments.
- The Unitrends Appliance backs up all of our data across multiple departments nightly and does not have any problems.
- The software alerts us to how the data is being saved and if there are any problems with the backup on any given night so that we can correct any problems immediately.
- The device allows MCMC to store the data onsite, at an alternative site, or offsite.
- Perhaps the ability at the main headquarters to retain all of the software for our vendor just incase we have a total destruction of our facilities.
- MCMC had a ransomware attack about a year ago and we were able to restore all of our .exe files without exception. This allowed MCMC to avoid any type of payment to the perpetrators.
- MCMC has had several instances of users deleting key files or files that were corrupted that IT was able to recover 100%.
The Unitrends Recovery Series Backup Appliance is extremely reliable and has not caused any problems at all. The software is user-friendly and helps to guide you through all of the processes that are necessary for reliable and comprehensive backup and recovery solutions. We have used IBM Tape drives and experienced hardware problems or tapes that eventually went bad.
