Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup for AWS

Veeam sits in our Amazon cloud environment and backs up our virtual servers. This is done outside the Amazon process so the backups are not in the same location as the others. We made this call to avoid encryption schemes since most of the time they just target the normal locations. Having a backup solution outside the norm is very important.

Viewing individual files within backups is important if you don't need to recover an entire OS.
We also have the built-in AWS process running to suit most of the daily needs. Since most attackers would start here we have Veeam as another solution.

Well suited for normal AWS builds. Anything with traditional server/workspace builds. If you had something unusual like S3 buckets hit remotely this may not work as well for you.

1 - I'm the only user of Veeam, everyone is unaware of it.
