Taking People Analytics to the Next Level
Overall Satisfaction with Visier
With Visier, we are able to put people analytics directly into the hands of our HR partners and business leaders. From a compensation perspective, I can quickly and easily find real-time employee data and other valuable analytics in one place without the need to export and combine multiple reports from our HCM system. We can view market data, minimum wage information, turnover statistics, and more information that would typically involve gathering data from multiple sources.
Pros
- Visier does an excellent job providing summary charts and graphs of people data, including turnover, job information, and diversity and inclusion statistics.
- Visier is flexible in setting up data feeds between various systems to ensure all of our data is accessible in one system. For example, we have a data connector between our market pricing, HCM, and recruiting systems.
- Visier has an intuitive and user-friendly interface that empowers line managers and HR partners to use the system. Managers and HR partners can easily share data with other users.
Cons
- Visier is a people analytics tool, so all data points are tied to employees. It can be difficult to analyze data points that aren't tied to employees (e.g., certain job data) since the data is driven by people metrics.
- Visier releases updates quarterly. While this cadence does provide room for updates and enhances to be implemented in the tool throughout the year, other software providers operate on a more continuous update schedule.
- Visier has allowed us to review turnover data for certain jobs to better understand when and why people are leaving the company. By having this data, we can implement new policies and procedures for at-risk groups to reduce our turnover costs by keeping good employees.
- Visier has allowed us to have greater visibility into diversity and inclusion initiatives to ensure we are meeting our goals across locations and roles.
