Overall Satisfaction with Vista by Viewpoint

We have implemented Viewpoint across the board, and it is our sole accounting software. We use it for HR/PR/AP/PO/AR/EM/Jobs/Contracts/PM/Inventory and much more. We love the flexibility. We can add custom fields onto any of the standard forms. We can also build custom databases that can link to everything else.
  • Viewpoint is great at letting you cherry pick the modules you want or don't want and they all work great together.
  • Security is really great and easy to implement and maintain.
  • Availity to add custom fields to any form is a game changer. No cookie cutter here, everything can make Viewpoint what they need it to be.
  • Support is hit or miss. They have grown tremendously over the last few years and their support staff has not grown with them. The quality is good, but the timing has grown over the years. However, they are trying to supplement with more online resources.
  • Their Service Management module has really grown over the years; however, it can be difficult to use because there are too many options and not everything is as intuitive as other things.
  • You cannot manage what you cannot see. Viewpoint does a great job of linking everything together so that you can build a complete picture. And if they don't have it, they are also great at partnering with other Vendors to bring add-on software the integrates with Viewpoint.
I have previously used SAP and while that is another all-in-one software, it can be a beast and require a lot of overhead to maintain. Viewpoint is very user-friendly and can be maintained and managed by much smaller support staff.
Viewpoint's flexibility with modules and custom fields make it well suited for just about any industry. I cannot see a scenario that Viewpoint would not work well.
