Overall Satisfaction with Vonage Business Cloud

We use Vonage Business Cloud across the whole organization. Vonage is the right fit for us since we are working from many different locations. Many work out of their home office or remote office. The ability to take Vonage wherever you can get an internet connection is what makes the product so great.

The smartphone apps work very well. Vonage has excellent documentation and customer service as well. Any time I have a problem I can call or chat and they are able to help me right away. Many of my counterparts in the industry feel that Vonage is too expensive but then use services that require administrative overhead, server maintenance and are complicated. Vonage is very easy to deploy.

Cons

  • The extension can only have three devices which is difficult if you work in multiple locations. Your cell phone is one of the three, so you really only get two. I have three office locations that I work out of and it would be nice to have my extension at each.
  • We were able to ditch our old provider that was gauging us, saving us thousands per year.
  • We were able to focus our IT staff on more important initiatives that added value to our business instead of managing a phone system.
  • The included Amazon Chime plan with Vonage extensions allowed us to have video conferencing which improved the productivity of meetings.
Vonage Business Cloud is well suited if you have small or limited IT staff and/or you have many remote workers and little or no on-prem hardware. I would recommend Vonage to small to medium-sized businesses. It would not be well suited to a large organization where everyone works in the same building and the IT staff has servers and staff to manage a VoIP system.

Using Vonage Business Cloud

32 - Our Sales Team, who work all across the country, are able to use Vonage wherever they go. Our Customer Service department is always available to talk to customers and sales partners. The Operations team is able to collaborate using Amazon Chime and Vonage Business Cloud to make sure the business runs smoothly.
2 - We have two individuals that manage the software. The nice thing is that we spend a minimal amount of time on it and are able to focus our attention to projects that add value to the company.

Using Vonage Business Cloud

I have been using Vonage Business Cloud for over a year and I have not had any problems. It has been very easy to use.

Yes - It works very well. It is easy to use and you can do everything you need to from within the Mobile UI. The mobile UI makes it easy to record your greetings and change settings as well which is a nice bonus.
