Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard AuthPoint

We use WatchGuard AuthPoint for Multi Factor Authentication. It uses the authpoint app on the devices of our users so that sms text messages are not relied upon. We wanted a secure way of verifying that the users credentials are only used by the user that they were issued to, no more sharing accounts or becoming untraceable.

  • Instructions were very hard to follow, we ended up having a tech walk us thru the process.
  • Multiple emails for Authenticating and setting up password were a bit cumbersome.
  • Videos for setting up AuthPoint were a bit outdated with the newest changes to setup.
  • There were a few hiccups along the way of setting up AuthPoint. It probably resulted in a loss of billable time.

The ability to run AuthPoint from Watchguard Cloud and still maintain the control over firebox settings and policies is wonderful. I dont have to give up all control to the cloud to get the authpoint feature we needed. The ability to add and remove users from the cloud makes it easier to manage who has access even when the IT administrator is on vacation... whenever that happens.
