Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard Network Security
We are currently using WatchGuard technologies for some of our firewalls and end to end VPN tunnels between remote locations and our central office. we have recently implemented a disaster recovery site and have a WatchGuard there as well. The end users seem to really like the flexibility of having a VPN client on their mobile devices (cell phones, laptops, tablets) so they can access network resources while away from the office, and also have peace of mind that their data is securely being accessed while on a potentially unsecured network.
- Tech Support is extremely good.
- Ease of use and setup.
- Configuring guest WiFi networks is a challenge.
- WatchGuard has helped us secure our network and remote locations.
I have worked with a WatchGuard salesman and my CDW account rep to choose the best model to fit my business needs, and they both have made the process quite simple.
The single license covering multiple features is a nice benefit but if you don't need all the features it is somewhat pricey.
in the past, we have used Checkpoint and Cisco. The other options were great security appliances but WatchGuard met all of our needs and was easier to setup on the fly as needed.
