Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard Network Security
We currently use WatchGuard as our main firewall and VPN, for both our main and offsite locations. We are able to run Vlans internally through it for a proper DMZ, and use Radius Authentication for MFA on VPN connections. This works seamlessly with our current MFA provider and provides us with little to no downtime, even through maintenance.
Pros
- Handle multiple VPN connections
- High throughput for scanning
Cons
- only having 1 management program, or having them sync would be nice
- could improve setting up DMZ
- it has a highly predictable end of life cycle, so planning is easy
- End of life is a bit short, unless you live on the bleeding edge of product lifecycles
We worked with CDW, but as a reseller they are ok.
This has been nice when we were under 50 users. Now we are looking for something we can customize to receive savings benefits.
Sophos XG has a sandboxing feature, that is under 20k to implement so it is appealing.
