Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard Network Security
The company has multiple WatchGuard firewalls deployed in various sites. It is the first line of defense. Watch Guard has been around for many years. I think I have been using them at least 20 years. I started with a Sonic Wall, then Astaro, then Watchguard. It has been Watch Guard ever since.
It has all of the functions of a firewall.
Port Forwarding to the cameras.
I use it for my DHCP.
Traffic Monitor to determine why someone can't connect to a website or remote computer via remote desktop.
VPN Box connections to various sites.

function, is that I can create different user accountants that limit
their Internet capabilities. Account 1 is allows Internet Browsing only
and filters many sites. NO downloads are 1allowed. Account 2 has less
web filtering, NO downloads allowed. Account 3 for the Network admin.

There tech support staff is fantastic. As they look at the issues, they explain to me how to do this myself if needed.
I personally recommend people to consider Watch Guard.
- Traffic Monitor with error descriptions
- User management that restricts users access. With Over-Ride of restrictions capability
- Easy to learn how to manage the firewall
- In the past HTTPS browsing slowed the users response to websites. Don't know if it was rectified.
- I am very satisfied with the product. It was easy to setup users for remote logon
- Traffic monitor to determine cause of not accessing a website or remote desktop

I used him for the original Firewall implementation. I know that he has extensive knowledge with Microsoft Server implementation and problem solving, setting up Veeam Backup solution. He is knowledgeable in many areas.
I was very happy to use him, when ever needed.
The value is when one doesn't need multiple solutions.
It has made life easier for me. When I had issues, Traffic monitor was helpful. The VPN setup was easy. I have remote users connecting either via box to box vpn or software vpn on their laptops.
I can't compare Watch Guard to Sonic Wall, because it was many years ago. The reason that I moved to Watch Guard was the ability to block users from downloading, and create a screen that allows me to over-ride that blocking with a logon name and password. I can sit at the users desk and not have to go back to my desk to logon the website.
