Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Webex Meetings is used by our organization to troubleshoot customer issues. We have enterprise customers all over the world using our products. When they face any issues, they open a ticket with us. We will be using Webex Meetings to go on a conference call and troubleshoot the network and configuration issues. It helps us build trust with the customers.

Pros and Cons

Conference calling
The option to copy-paste from my PC to the remote machine
Easy to use

I had issues creating my personal room URL. Did not see proper documentation which works for that issue.
The mute button seems a bit dodgy
No UHD video quality

Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams is not user friendly as Webex Meetings. [I feel] It also takes up a lot of RAM and slows down most of the time. However, Webex Meetings never showed that issue. It works fine with low RAM requirements. The audio gets dodgy in Teams at times. but I have not experienced that in Webex Meetings with the same internet connection.

Reliability and Availability

99% percent of the time, I have never had any issues with Webex Meetings availability. I have had a server down issue once and that is the reason for a 9. That took around 4 hours to be resolved. But that is one incident in the 4 years I have used Webex Meetings.

Scalability

Anyone can use Webex Meetings. It does not depend on any type of usage. Anyone who has a requirement of meeting up with the team can use this. The importance of Webex Meetings has increased during the pandemic. I honestly don't know what we would do without Webex Meetings at the moment. I can't think of a more flexible application.

Performance

I had this slowness issue on my previous laptop. But then I found out that it was an HDD problem. Since I got a new laptop, I have never faced any issues as slow loading, lag etc. I have not experienced any slowness after integrating other applications to webex meeting.

Likelihood to Recommend

[I feel] Webex Meetings is the best for situations where we need people from multiple teams to join over a call and resolve the issue collectively. The process is fast and smooth. [In my experience] Webex Meetings will not be of much use if it involves only two people who do not want to share data and just have a conversation. A phone will do that. [I feel] Webex Meetings is for bigger things.
