Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are working as an infrastructure team on BT for the cisco hcs product and provide support for call manager unity teams and WebEx Meetings. The use of WebEx Meetings is day in day out for us. We really love the quality of the video and voice on teams. I personally like it over Microsoft Teams and zoom.

Alternatives Considered

We selected it because of the interface it had. It is lot better if we compare it with teams and zoom. However, there had been some instances where we have seen it consuming more compute resources of laptop than the other meeting apps. We need to make sure that uses little of the bandwidth and compute resource to run.

Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business (formerly Lync), now part of Microsoft Teams

Reliability and Availability

WebEx Meetings is available as we have partnered with cisco. However we have seen that the application gets crash sometimes a d we need to restart it again and again. The best application in terms of stability is zoom. However, WebEx Meetings is still used for majority of our meetings.

Scalability

WebEx Meetings is being used now by the NOC team, operation, infrastructure team.

In terms of stability it is good as it can handle a good load and allows many people to join the meeting at the same time. Long story short scalablity is great. We now have almost 1500 people using this application.

Performance

The HTML version is not very good. It take heck lot of time to load up. Once the screen sharing is started the computer hangs a lot.

Even sometimes itis hard to move the cursor around. We had to kill the application several time to make it work. However the app works fine without any issues.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is best suited for day-to-day meetings.

We need a better solution where our L1 field engineers can use it in Data Center where bandwidth is limited. There have been instances where it's really difficult for us to explain things without getting visual input from the team. That is where WebEx Meetings can be improved.
