Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Webex Meetings is greatly connected with another Cisco collaboration app, which is Webex App. We use these two apps combined to create & attend scheduled meetings or to share files when necessary. It would be much easier though, if it was possible to do all the things in one app like other collaboration tools in the market. The Webex Meetings app helps us to attend online meetings and to connect with teammates seamlessly, but as I mentioned earlier you can't do everything from the Webex Meetings app like sharing files or chat with others. The app is designed for meetings only and I would say it does its job quite well.

Pros and Cons

The meeting app is lighter than the Webex app and takes less space.
The simple QR scan is a great feature.
Logs you out after a time period or inactivity which is good for security purposes I think.

The user interface is simple and easy to use, I have to admit that, but signing up sometimes from the app is harder. Signing up process needs to be more user-friendly, I think.
I think at least sharing files feature/option should be added in the Webex Meetings app so that we can share necessary files while attending meetings.
They also asked for GPS permission for motion detection which felt like a security issue to me.

Return on Investment

Most of the collaboration tools that we have now in the market provide almost the same features. There are some organizations as well based on remote employees only. So overall, I think the ROI is positive as these collaboration apps help to stay connected.

You can join meetings easily from Webex Meetings without signing up. The process is quite simple. Organizing and attending meetings from Webex Meetings app is also user-friendly. I think this app will suite well for short team meetings where you don't have to put a lot of effort into organizing it!
