Overall Satisfaction with Webex Meetings

We use Webex Meetings primarily as a video conferencing tool with our customers. It is not our preferred platform, but certain clients in highly regulatory, secure, compliant industries such as financial services have had a preference for Webex Meetings. As a client facing global partner, I leverage Webex Meetings as these customer's most trusted platform as they generally do not have the ability to use others.

Pros

  • Webex Meetings provides a secure, compliant platform for many highly regulated industries
  • I have never had an issue with audio or video quality on Webex Meetings
  • I enjoy the virtual backgrounds offered

Cons

  • The "beep" sound whenever a participant signs onto a call is particularly grating to me and unnecessary
  • The overall interface feels outdated and like a 90s Windows application
  • I have yet to see AI-integrations with Webex Meetings such as what I see with CoPilot with Teams or AI-generated summaries with Zoom
  • Webex Meetings has had a positive ROI when meeting with our highly regulated customers to provide them value
  • Webex Meetings has allowed us to partner better with these customers
  • Flexibility to use Webex Meetings is seen as ROI
For some users at my company Webex Meetings was not allowed, however our customers preference of Webex Meetings forced us to implement this technology especially in the face of hybrid and virtual work where it was truly the only means to an end to partner with high value customers across our product base.
Historically, our organization maintained a restrictive policy toward third-party communication tools. However, as hybrid and virtual work became the standard, we encountered a significant organizational challenge: a disconnect between our internal security protocols and the communication preferences of our high-value clients. Implementing Cisco Webex Meetings was the strategic solution to this barrier. It allowed us to bridge the gap between our teams and our customers, providing a secure, reliable, and universally accepted platform for collaboration. By adopting Webex Meetings, we transformed a potential friction point into a seamless partnership tool, ensuring that our product experts could engage with customers in their preferred environment without compromising professional standards. This transition was ultimately the "means to an end" that allowed us to maintain and scale our most critical enterprise relationships in a remote-first world.
Webex Meetings helped us bridge the "presence gap" between our customer teams and our global account teams. Webex Meetings helped us show up in a seamless way where we prioritized professional collaboration, allowing us to prioritize customer urgency. This ensured our "Member-First" / Customer First policy. Many of these customers preferred to meet in person prior to hybrid work.

Would you buy Webex Meetings again?

Yes

Webex Meetings is well suited for highly regulated, secure, compliant industries and customers where privacy and security is the #1 operating priority. I have seen this be the case across multiple financial industry customers where Webex Meetings is their preferred platform for video conferencing with vendors, customers, etc. Scenarios where it is less appropriate would be pretty much with every other industry.
