Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Acquia DAM (Widen) to maintain images, videos, etc., and to provide access to the users. I personally access Acquia DAM (Widen) to research images for eLearning courses.

Pros and Cons

interface is quick and easy to use
a great way to centralized our assets
secure platform

Search engine to find materials is not as robust as it could be - maybe it's the way it was set up??? The better the assets are tagged on the backend the more useful and easy it is to find what we need.
I would love to be able to hover over an image to enlarge without having to click on it.
I wish navigation was a little easier and more intuitive to find.

Since I am simply a user of the platform for the company I work with but work with many similar companies who could benefit from such a platform, I see myself recommending it to some of my clients.

I have never had to access Acquia DAM (Widen) support, so do not feel capable of answering this question

Acquia DAM (Widen) is used by many vendors and companies within the NDC. It has been a great resource for me as an eLearning professional to be able to access the resources simply and in one location. I am not able to speak to configurations, data governance, etc.

The platform makes it easy to share assets with external users, it's a great way for organizations, companies, etc. to maintain, share and send images, pull resources, and get what they need. and best of all it provides one, convenient location to access assets! As an eLearning specialist working with many companies that do not have this type of platform, the challenge is always to access their images and to try to navigate through all those assets and files in a productive and efficient manner. Acquia DAM (Widen) provides a great tool for this.
