Overall Satisfaction with Widen
We use Acquia DAM (Widen) to house all of our agency's assets: photography, videos, publications, graphics and icons, and more. We are a global agency, so it is critical for us to have a DAM system that is robust, well-organized, and intuitive to use. The admin curates the library and encourage every staff member to use the assets from the library to ensure that the highest quality images are being used globally. We also recently started implementing the Portals to create easy access to the best and most recent assets our agency has to offer.
Pros
- Easy to use as an admin and a general user
- Top notch customer service
- Flexibility in the look and feel of your customizable site to have it suit your needs
Cons
- More AI capabilities for tagging images and videos and making them more searchable
- More automatic actions for admin
- Enable different auto cropping sizes when downloading images
- Portals
- Customizable restrictions and user roles
- Ability to upload a wide variety of filetypes
- Global brand consistency
- Easy access to high quality assets for agency-wide use
- Faster and easier searches for assets
We are working on developing the Portals to put the best and latest assets at our users' fingertips. We hope to see Widen improve the Portals over time with feedback from users!
We have used Acquia DAM (Widen)to create a Brand hub in the library so users know that those assets are approved. It's been incredibly helpful and cuts out a lot of emails and questions.
