Overall Satisfaction with Widen
We use it for managing all our image assets for our projects. This solves collaboration and easy meta information for our SEO purpose. The main problem is with Searching and identifying images, Acquia DAM (Widen) makes it easy, still, a lot more options can be given. Saves tons of our time actually. Helps in the organization of images too.
Pros
- Website projects
- Collection and Organisation
- Search
Cons
- Search by image upload , badly needed.
- Upload process can be made easy
- Collection
- SEO / META
- 1 Place for all images
- Search with keyword / meta helps a lot
- Upload flow is bit confusing
- Once uploaded its not clear where the uploaded section comes under
Widen will be our main use case for images going forward
As a designer and the one who handles all images for our projects, Digital asset management really helps me in organizing, Code embedding, and bridging a gap between the developer deliverables and design. This actually helps a lot in attaching images over email with just a sharable link to Acquia DAM (Widen).
We have integrated Acquia DAM (Widen) with Sitecore for our workflow. We used to process images on the other side with Adobe XD for specific size and uses Sitecore to upload. With our recent integration, we are planning to upload in Acquia DAM (Widen) alone to get synced in Sitecore. This may lead us to a single upload space to Acquia DAM (Widen) and sync up with our Sitecore tool
