Overall Satisfaction with Wix
I have used Wix for my online portfolio and blog. Personally branding myself is important in PR and marketing, and Wix gave me the necessary tools to do that and more.
Pros
- I chose Wix because of its creative templates and interactive design.
- The interface is user-friendly as opposed to other website creators.
- When making a multimedia project for a class, I created a site with Wix. My professors were engaged by the content and impressed that I deviated from a standard paper.
Cons
- I've heard before that Wix is bad for SEO. While they do have plug-ins to help with this, you have to upgrade to get them.
- I'd like to be able to see my blog posts or site views but am unable to do so without upgrading.
- Sometimes the mobile view doesn't show up the way I edited it.
- I am not using Wix for commercial purposes.
I chose Wix for creativity as opposed to Weebly or WordPress.
