I needed a ecommerce plugin that worked with Wordpress and Elementor. I sell digital goods to a global audience and WooCommerce seemed like a good fit for this.

It's free out of the box so any sales made is profit
After optimizing with other plugins, it is the main place people buy our digital products and courses.
It integrates with Mailerlite to show sales from campaigns

The level of customization and ease of integration with an existing WordPress website makes it a good choice. Snipcart is better for developers or small sites and Shopify is an amazing e-commerce-optimized platform but if you have an existing website on Wordpress, it is much easier to add WooCommerce than the other options.

Set up of WooCommerce is fairly easy with some experience of WordPress. Any business that wants to sell online using a WordPress website would do well using WooCommerce. WooCommerce could be overkill if you just need to sell one or 2 products or are looking for a cart plugin that has more of a conversion optimized funnel (although there are plugins for this within the WooCommerce Ecosystem)
