Overall Satisfaction with WordPress

WordPress is being used to host our blog, it has been a great resource for us to post live blogs during our conferences and it is easy and well known enough for others to comment and follow. It's helpful because it doesn't get lost on our website.
  • WordPress is easy enough for a non web specialist to use but can be complex enough so someone with web experience can dig in and make things customized to their needs
  • WordPress' platform is organized well, everything is easy to access and right where you'd expect it to be.
  • The set up for WordPress is not difficult at all, you can have a blog or website up and running in a few short minutes if need be.
  • Going from the preview to edit pages seems to be a little complicated. Maybe just the wording of how to get from one to the other.
  • The mobile app works well but doesn't give you a good visual of what others are seeing.
  • There's always room to add more functionality, like images in the navigation (we did this with code).
  • Increased customer interaction online
  • Increase live blog views
  • Waiting to see the increase or decrease on attendee rates.
  • Blogger,wix
I like WordPress better for blogging, I feel that the support and community that WordPress has is far better than any other website which means the plugins are better as well. I don't think it stacks up when you are comparing open source websites though because I like the freedom to be more creative than WordPress allows.
We will definitely stick with WordPress in the future because of the support and the fact that now that it is set up and ready to go it's exactly what we wanted in a product. We did a lot of research beforehand on choosing which platform to use and I feel we did make the right decision.
I love WordPress and how large of a community it is for blogging, I might suggest another option for people looking for more of a customized site. WordPress is very fill in the blanks when you don't know how to customize the code.
