KRONOS Workforce Central is being used across the whole organization as its primary timekeeping tool. This tool helps address accurate time keeping of the workforce along with PTO management.
  • Timekeeping including clock punching, web punching, and cell app punching
  • PTO management -- submission, review, auto deduction
  • Pay rules - ability to designate rules based on groups, individuals, and more
  • As a web-based solution, Workforce Payroll requires internet connectivity for data access – offline capabilities are not available.
  • Being Microsoft-based, browser support is limited to Internet Explorer.
  • Kronos’ international presence will always be restricted as long as Workforce Payroll (and HR) is only available in the English language.
  • Automation of manual human resource processes eliminates the administrative time that the employee and the human resources staff need to spend on tasks.
  • Workforce Central provides a Human Resource Management Solution (HRMS) that contains functionality to manage benefits administration, training and development, employee relations, compensation planning, applicant tracking, and monitoring for regulatory compliance.
  • Workforce Central manages the payroll process with support for tax filing information, integrates time and attendance data to streamline the reconciliation between time reporting and check creation, and interfaces to general ledger systems for cost accounting.
Didnt evaluate other products
- Self-service. Workforce Central provides self-service capabilities that present a central entry point for employees to handle all facets of their HR administration.
- Workforce Central can be housed on a corporate intranet and configured with user access definitions that determine read/write permissions based on job position. Managers can have a consolidated view of employee data, including salary and performance review history and vacation accruals. Employees can access all benefit information and training options, and they
can initiate any necessary changes to their personal information.
- Data collection. Integration with employee identification and check point devices such as badges, biometric devices, and PDAs enable time and attendance data to be captured in the most appropriate method for the worker. Automated data collection helps eliminate transcription errors inherent in manual timesheet processes.
- Analytics. Workforce Central has static and end-user driven reporting that can be used to build intelligence on an organization’s workforce and associated
costs. Accessing real-time data from Workforce Central improves the decisionmaking process.
Expectations and requirements need set to make sure it is right or right sized for the company in question. The product can be overwhelming if you do not approach it properly
