Overall Satisfaction with Workfront
[It's used for] project management for the IT and digital marketing teams. It helps address visibility of project tasks and milestones and helps us to deliver on time. It also exposes risks.
- Exposes the risks, late and behind projects and who is responsible for them.
- Gives us company-wide exposure to all projects in the portfolio, regardless of where you are.
- Allows us to flexibly manage projects that have moveable deadlines - which happens a lot.
- We find that it's slow - everything takes time to update and edit.
- Training is a pain - recent administrator left the organisation, leaving no one with those access rights. The new administrator has completed some of the training modules but not all of them. Therefore, we are still without a system administrator!
- It is a complex system which is feature rich so additional support on how to get the best out of Workfront would be extremely helpful.
- We have not measured ROI as a direct cost. However, Workflow has enabled the IT team to reposition ourselves as the top performing department within the business because we now plan well and are seen as 'organised'. Other departments are now asking us about Workfront and how it can help them too.
- We now collaborate with the digital marketing team who have set up their own portfolio in Workfront so we are working more closely with them as a result.
- Workfront has enabled the IT team to absorb the business growth over the last 4 years fairly seamlessly and with little or next to no fuss or issues as a result.
We did not evaluate any of the alternative products. Attask came as a recommendation from our previous HOD who had used it before. We use Trello and basecamp with third party organisations.
