Overall Satisfaction with Workfront

  • Centralize projects in one solution
  • Deliver client-facing services
The ability to organize a large volume of projects and breaking them down at the task level gives us the ability to properly prioritize our workload. The tool allows us to create customer fields so that we can stack rank our deliverable so that the product owner can plan the release.

Pros

  • Reporting
  • Customizing fields
  • Notifications

Cons

  • Sexiness
  • Interface is dated
  • Swim lane functionality needs work
  • Time tracking for capital expense
  • Project tracking
  • Work allocation
JIRA has a bit more of a GUI interface which is more conducive for the agile methodology. It provides much more information in a lateral space which is easier for the user to consume. We are actually in the process of moving away from Work Front and using JIRA solely.
WorkFront's time keeping ability is fairly robust and allows for proper analysis for capital expense versus operating expenses. The reporting aspect is mid tier as it is missing some basic functionality, for example, the ability to click the back button when in a report. I do like the field customization in the reports.
