Overall Satisfaction with Workfront
- Manage digital work processes
- Review and approve digital work
- Deliver client-facing services
- Govern compliance workflows
-Review and approve digital work - When I deliver requirements to my clients in Workfront, I have specific record of the approval which is helpful for future reference.
-Manage digital work processes - Our company is able to implement our developed processes through Workfront.
-Deliver client-facing services - I am able to communicate and deliver my companies serves through Workfront. All communications are in Workfront which helps when I'm looking for a historical conversation because I only have to look in one spot.

Pros
- Communications are easy - I like the tagging feature and I like the email notifications.
- Templates - It's easy to create a template for new processes.
- It's easy to enter new requests and start the lifecycle of a task.
Cons
- Lately we changed our process to where approvals to move forward with requirements are made on an issue. Once approved the issue is turned into a task and then we no longer see record of the approval. I'd like to see this fixed because having historical record of the approvals is necessary.
- Sometimes it's really difficult to find a specific thread on large projects. My clients always complain about this and I also have trouble with it at times because I work on seven different client projects. When I can't find something, I try to use the search feature, which doesn't always work. If it doesn't work I search my email inbox and normally find it that way.
- It would be better to manage notifications in a better way. I end up having to organize my Workfront notifications in my email inbox. If there was a way to mark notifications as "to do" or label as a certain client that would be awesome because then you could read the update, and then come back later to actually respond.
- Workfront has improved workflow on the PMO side of the house. We've lost efficiency on the dev side of the house because the lack of integration with Github.
I've used Jira and Jira seems to cater better to the developers. It doesn't seem to cater as well to the PMO side of things. If we could combine the PMO friendly Workfront with the dev friendly Jira, that would be a win-win. Besides Jira, I haven't used any other systems that come close in comparison.
Internal collaboration - My team is able to attach a requirements Google doc, collaborate about requirements and the estimate on the task, I can review and approve internally and provide feedback.
External - My client can review the document and provide feedback on the task. Once they feel comfortable with the requirements, they can then hit the approve button.
