The Best in dedicated Wordpress Dedicated Hosting.
Overall Satisfaction with WP Engine
I currently use WP Engine for all of my Wordpress hosted websites for me and my clients. WPE is great for websites of all sizes. I've used it for our daily B2B website, as well as sites that get around 20K to 500K visits a month. They have excellent hosting, support, and pricing.
Pros
- 24/7 Chat and phone support is fantastic.
- Their 3 tier system for Dev, staging, and Production on all WP site is great for working on and experimenting with layouts and plugins
- The Daily backup points and easy way to restore those backups with once click means I can update plugins and make changes without having to worry.
Cons
- If your solution requires custom Server setup or other languages outside of Wordpress's PHP7, then it might be hard to set up. Custom Cron jobs or Python tools might not work easily.
- For some extremely small websites, WPE is overkill. Not all clients can justify 30/month.
- I no longer have to worry about managing backups. They automatically backup every night and store them for a month
- So far I've experienced 99.98% uptime.
WP Engine has a no worry solution for automatic backups and free SSL is great for $30/month. They scale to our needs as well so we never have to worry about being throttled if we get a lot of press. and at $1 for every 1000 visitors over your quote, hits one of the cheapest solutions. As far as WP dedicated hosting goes, their support is far superior to GoDaddy's WP support and hosting servers.
