Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Wrike on a few of our new product development projects.

Wrike's Gannt Chart, task management, and task assigning tools are very functional and easy to learn. Overall this helps track projects and communicate how the project is doing.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Task / project creation is intuitive
Task management and assignment are very easy to use
Linking tasks with predecessors is a great feature

Cons

If you want to create sub-tasks that roll up to an overarching task, all of the sub tasks (along with their dates) need to be completed before the overarching tasks should be allowed to be marked complete. The dates also need to follow suit
If you change a predecessor to a task, the subsequent tasks don't always update as planned
Wrike can be clunky. I have moved tasks and made predecessors and often have to reload the page to get the Gantt chart to update properly

Wrike is functional and relatively easy to use / learn. There are good report out tools available for creating a dashboard / scoreboard. The things I don't like are the tasks don't always update, can be finicky when you are linking predecessors and sub-tasks do not need to be completed be for an over arching task can be completed.
