Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Wrike for keeping track of projects, subtasks of those projects, and progress on those tasks and projects throughout the organization. Since not all tasks and projects are software related, it is a better fit for a small organization working on several projects across multiple disciplines. For instance, we can use Wrike to track app and firmware development as well as scientific tests and research within the same platform.

I think Wrike is well suited as a generalized task tracker for small organizations. Its simplicity and ease of use makes it work well across teams and disciplines and it doesn't require previous experience with other task trackers, so it is easy for new people to onboard. For software teams, I think the functionality for detailed bug tracking and git integration might be lacking, especially for larger teams, but for small teams (like at many startups), it may be enough.
