Overall Satisfaction with Yooz

We implemented Yooz about 3 years ago in order to move from a paper-based manual accounts payable process to a more efficient web-based paperless approach. We are a two-entity environment (a church and a foundation) and appreciated the integration available with Sage Intacct. We have approximately 15 different departments where a designated individual "submits" the source invoices and check requests into Yooz and a related manager approves the transaction. This distributed and decentralized the invoice processing and reduced the workload on the Accounting department to such an extent that we reduced our headcount from 4 FTE's down to 3 FTE's.

Pros

  • Strong integtation with Intacct (our GL)
  • Strong OCR capabilities that capture the key information of an invoice with accuracy
  • Very responsive Support Team if we encounter a problem or have a question.
  • In depth documentation for users (pdf's videos) to learn the product

Cons

  • Better functionality processing vendor credits
  • Would like to see Yooz sync with our general ledger Intacct more often than nightly
  • Some alert or notification that highlights when a manual payment is required
  • Positive ROI - reducing accounting headcount from 4 to 3
  • Positive - savings in time and storage space going paperless
  • Positive vendor relations with bills getting entered and paid more quickly

The product works well in our multi-entity environment and with our monthly volume of about 250 invoices. The product appears to be very scalable with the capability to handle a much higher volume. I think the learning curve for non-accountants to enter invoices and for managers to approve them is very gentle. Most pick up on the intutive process very easily.
