Overall Satisfaction with Zerto

We utilize Zerto in our organization to replicate our VM workloads to an off-site location. Our typical RPO is usually less than 10 seconds.

Pros

  • Replication of VM workloads to an off-site location
  • Facilitating regular testing of our DR strategy

Cons

  • Backup and retention could use some improvements.
  • I would like to see support for off-line backup retention.
  • Zerto improved our RPO from ~1hr down to usually less than 10 seconds.
  • The ROI is improved by better utilizing our Disaster Recovery hardware and location.
I have not really needed to use support, but the product is relatively easy to use and set up.

Implementation was relatively easy and the product is fairly easy to use.
Pricing is a bit high for a small to medium sized business.
Zerto works well for Disaster Recovery protection and replication. The backup and retention, while functional could use some improvement.
