Overall Satisfaction with ZipRecruiter

We are a small non-profit with one half-time employee. That person is leaving so we posted the job with ZipRecruiter. We received 26 resumes with the most bizarre experience. One was close to our job description and [I found that] the rest were ridiculously unacceptable and obviously not really looking to apply for this job. [To me,] it was a tremendous waste of our time and money.
  • [In my experience,] they attract a lot of candidates that are not suitable for the position
  • [From my point of view,] they charge far too much for their services. We paid an average $21 for resumes
  • [In my opinion,] they encourage candidates to phish
  • They should review their billing structure
  • They need a process for weeding out candidates that send blanket resumes to all employers
  • [In our case,] they charged us $554 for in return
We used Indeed, were provided with 113 resumes at no fee and most had some qualifications that fit our description.

I wouldn’t recommend them for any employer unless you don’t mind spending $21 a resume for a lot of inappropriate resumes and waste a lot of your time.
