Overall Satisfaction with ZipRecruiter

I'm a freelance startup recruiter. I use ZipRecruiter and linkedin as part of my recruiting process. A lot of founders struggle with hiring because they can't find the right personality or the person with the right fit. ZipRecruiter helps me find a bulk of potential clients that we normally go through together until they find the right fit. Then of course we interview.

Pros

  • Strong visibility
  • Bulk applications
  • Smooth applicant to interview process

Cons

  • Free job listings. - allow smaller companies cheaper or free options for job postings
  • Automatic resume filter- automatically reject applicants that are clearly not suited for the role/ stop random applicants from applying
  • Sourcing bulks of applicants faster
  • More brand visibility
  • Quicker hiring time/ higher investment
It's helped me find more candidates which is a good thing because like I mentioned in my previous questions, ZipRecruiter allowed me to get a bulk of applicants and manually review them with my clients, but it costed a pretty penny for both me and the people I've worked with.
It hasn't helped much but it did help me gain access to many more applicants. Without ZipRecruiter I'd probably struggle with finding a single lead. For example, when I first started I had the basic version of LinkedIn and I'd reach out to people who I thought could be a fit. It was different until I finally started using recruiting software.
I know it's strange for me to say that Reddit stacks up against ZipRecruiter. I feel this way because reddit offers a more relaxed and simple atmosphere. People simply talk and socialize. There's no pressure to be professional, so talking to a bigger bulk of people in a shorter amount of time is easier
