Overall Satisfaction with Zoom

Zoom is being used by our division. I'm not sure how I feel about a company with notoriously bad products managing a screen sharing/web conferencing platform, but it's what we have to use. My issues with the company, aside from reputation, is that they're not USA based. This is an issue for some of our verticals that have military spec applications.
  • Web conferencing.
  • Video conferencing.
  • Collaboration.
  • Not US Based. Phone support is nearly non-existent.
  • Product is not up to featureset with GoToMeeting/Webex.
  • Not the most cost-effective solution.
  • Quick collaboration in lieu of the corporate standard (Skype for Business).
  • It has been helpful for remote hands work.
  • Weak identity management makes this a product I'm not interested in implementing company wide.
We tried it out, and it wasn't for us.
If you need quick collaboration, the product is fantastic. However, I do not recommend it long term due to the fact that it is not U.S. based, and the light feature set doesn't often incorporate all the things that we need for our business. This coupled with military requirements make this a set-up that doesn't often work out well.
