Overall Satisfaction with Zoom Events & Webinars

Our team uses Zoom Events & Webinars for internal and external meetings. Also use Zoom Events & Webinars for webinars with the teachers that we serve and Zoom Events & Webinars phone for staff to use as soft phones through the Zoom Events & Webinars app on their computers and mobile devices. We record all of our Zoom Events & Webinars webinars for going back through the webinars, as well as taking attendance.

Pros

  • ease of use
  • familiarity
  • setting up meetings and syncing with multiple calendars

Cons

  • integrating 3rd party plug-ins are still a pain
  • be more platform agnostic.
  • screen sharing and video calls are not the most reliable
  • Zoom Events & Webinars for meetings is great. It works great for our distributed workforce as our team is across the country.
  • Zoom Events & Webinars unfortunately has lumped licenses together and now you must either buy Zoom Events & Webinars phone in the Zoom Events & Webinars business plus package (and must buy licenses for everyone, even though we didn’t need Zoom Events & Webinars phone for everyone).
  • Like most software as a service companies, is lumping “AI features”into its products, which is middling at best. I am sure that is why Zoom Events & Webinars licensing costs more now.
We use Google Workspace as our primary email domain and online storage. Zoom Events & Webinars really does not offer this. I have used MS Teams in the past and still use it on occasion. In my experience, Teams used to be horrible to use and walled off to only people on your MS hosted domain could use it. I think that has changed in the last couple of years. It is worth looking at MS Teams for meetings, especially if you are already using MS365 for domain hosting and email.

Zoom Events & Webinars works really well for meetings with people outside of the organization as many people are familiar with using Zoom Events & Webinars since the pandemic. Zoom Events & Webinars works for internal use as well, as staff can chat, video conference, share screens amongst each other. In our experience, some of the issues are the Zoom Events & Webinars meetings, especially screen sharing and video can be spotty at times.
