Cons

sometimes my Zoom Workplace meeting recordings are auto-saved with the meeting title, and sometimes they're just saved as "[User's] Zoom Workplace Meeting Room." it's very convenient when it's auto-titled, but wish this were done more consistently!

Zoom Workplace AI companion is extremely helpful in generating meeting recaps and next steps to review and share with the other folks on the call immediately after the meeting concludes. I have yet to create new content with Zoom Workplace, but find this tool very valuable in catching up on meetings I was unable to join or staying organized when sending meeting follow-up communications so I ensure that I'm not forgetting anything that was discussed during the call.

Alternatives Considered

Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams is very similar to Zoom Workplace in many ways, but I think Zoom Workplace is a clear winner when meetings involve members from different organizations. Teams is great for internal meetings (Zoom Workplace is great for this as well as the two tools are very similar), but when we meet with our client contacts, Teams rarely fails to pose countless technical difficulties for us. In my experience, Zoom Workplace never has any issues with folks joining in - as long as they can connect to wifi!

Zoom Workplace is best suited for cross-organizational meetings. There are rarely access issues (and most of the time these are operator errors). Microsoft Teams may be convenient for internal meetings within an organization, but in my experience, Teams poses numerous technical challenges and difficulties when members from external organizations join calls. Zoom Workplace excels in this area, which is why our organization prefers Zoom Workplace as 99% of our Zoom Workplace meetings are with our client contacts. The integration with Outlook is fantastic and makes for a very convenient scheduling process. The Zoom Workplace AI features are very helpful for an instant meeting recap to share immediately after the call. Zoom Workplace is a very safe and secure platform and makes for seamless interactions with members from any organization and any place in the world - as long as they can access a web browser! Would highly recommend for internal and external use.
