BlackBerry UEM (formerly from Good Technology) offers a complete enterprise mobility management solution, including capabilities for mobile device management, mobile application management, mobile content management, identity access management and mobile security and containerization.
I do think it is well worth the cost and consideration, especially if you are using it on devices containing electronic medical records, personal health information or personal privacy information or devices that contain proprietary information, critical business information or other information that needs to be securely protected. It can also be used to track a device (individual) as well if that is your goal. We use it as an extra precaution to track our mental health clinicians that do home visits. It allows us to keep track of their whereabouts, in case an issue arises at a client's home. We are able to send someone out to check or assist, alert emergency services or send law enforcement if a situation should arise.

If you want to connect securely, connect the mobile android or iOS devices to your network for communication purposes, where you have control over all the devices, who can access the network and remove the corporate data from those same devices if the need arises.

I tracked a stolen computer all the way to Africa from USA and disabled it.
I set up geofences with alerts. As soon as a computer got a wifi connection outside of our fences it would email me its current location.
Absolute's persistent technology was helpful. -Even when a pawn shop would attempt to "wipe" a device before getting it online, as soon as it got online it notified me of the OS re-installation and current location. We could call authorities and they could recover the device for us. And they were happy it made their job easier and deterred the pawn shop from reselling stolen devices.

I do not know where I would consider this product to be deficient in functionality, difficult to use or any major changes that needed to be addressed.

One thing which is annoying to me is that after every 5-10 minutes, I need to log in again with my credentials to access emails. It could be from a security perspective but in that case the auto log out time should be user configurable.
It's not possible to save or forward attachments from my inbox on my device
Good does allow for synchronizing of contacts in your personal corporate email address book to your personal device address book.

The support at Avast CloudCare is excellent; the guys are professional and know their product very well. They have helped us (in the latter years of us using the product), on multiple occasions, especially when an upgrade goes wrong. Community support is not as high, but that is to be expected, as other products are much more popular and have much better adoption. All in all, although being an average Antivirus solution, the management console is excellent, and the support the company offers is excellent too.

If you have a serious issue with your on-premise installation, access to support can take a bit to get someone on the phone, and it can take some time to rectify, given the complexity of the software. In my experience, the support team does get you back up and running in critical scenarios, but you more than likely will be on some marathon calls, unless it is a very simple and known issue.

I have only used Absolute Data and Device Security (DDS). It was recommended by my Dell sales rep. After reviewing the product info, and loading a demo, it became clear that this is what was needed to add to our existing security to protect us from information loss due to a data breach on our portable devices. I presented this solution to the appropriate departments, and they agreed that this was something well worth the investment.

Avast CloudCare is less of a memory hog than several other vendors like Norton or Trend. The ease of deployment for 1 or 100 computers is so simple and straightforward.

Well, selecting Good was an organization level decision and not my personal one. I like Good from the security perspective and that it helps our IT department avoid worrying about data theft. Otherwise, from the perspective of user convenience, Outlook scores way over Good with it's real time delivery of email, real time syncing and a host of other features
