Finding a large group of customers or leads to onboard to app and encourage use. Can be a struggle to find the best fit leads for your product as there can be greater levels of analytical information to filter potential leads by. Does the job when running a campaign to onboard

  • Not as much functionality as I've seen with other software. The software is designed to be easy to use and streamlined so this leaves out some of the customization that you see with others.
  • Transparency on where your ads are displayed and how they're interacted with could be much better.

Honestly, AdRoll is like every other ad management system. In fact, all ad management systems are pretty much identical with a few proprietary tweaks. Creating a campaign is done in one seamless screen with everything you need right there. The ability to add creative and even order AdRoll to create ads for you is also easy. The monitoring of a live campaign is easy as you can see all the necessary information from the main screen. Super easy to use and reliable deliverability

Alternatives Considered

AdGear was the easiest tech to start on and it was my manager's choice. He enjoyed it though would get frustrated by the UI. I found it easy to use and set up; through lacking meaningful more insights into leads and lead generation to acquire important information when converting to users on the platform.

  • I don't really know of any direct competitors.
  • I'm sure you can do a lot of what AdRoll does using Facebook and/or Twitter and/or AdWords retargeting features but using AdRoll was way easier.
  • I'm sure there are also added benefits fo using AdRoll vs. retargeting options available on each specific ad network, however, I don't know what they are.

  • We were able to convert free users to paid users because we could see they were very engaged but did not understand the value of our paid solution without a little push.
  • We were able to increase our user sign up conversion rate by retargeting engaged web visitors who DID NOT convert but should have.
  • We were able to increase our on-boarding conversion by targeting users who unsubscribed from our emails to encourage them to finish setting up their account.
