The features and options available in Adobe Campaign are extensive. We use it to run our marketing campaigns across multiple types of devices. It covers all the bases from e-mail, mobile, or a direct mail sent to a prospect, we can do it all. It is a great tool for just keeping track of things, coming campaign elements and a history of what has occurred. Reporting could use some work and the amount of customization required is a bit steep.

Ad hoc analysis when you need a quick answer as to whether a particular pathway is worthy of pursuing further. It can provide quick assessments of various multiple paths for analytical considerations -- many may prove to not be worthy of further pursuit in depth. This allows the user to provide rapid feedback and avoid additional downstream costs.

  • The interface isn't very intuitive at all and is mostly just a bunch of drop-down menus with little direction. Bottom line: You really need to know about stats before you use this software. However, because it is the leading GUI stats software, there is abundant documentation for this software both from IBM and from universities and others that detail how to do various operations (and interpret the output).

Once you go for Neolane you are a bit stuck with it, so we will most likely stay with Neolane. Cost of investment and training are the main factors at work here. We havesimply have invested too much in the product to stop using it after 2 years.That said, my score of 8 does not imply that the product is worthy of getting an 8 but reflects our willingness to renew.Given that upgrading to a new version will cost again a substantial sum, we most likely will keep using the current version we are on which is 6X.

I would say that generally the knowledge of the support team we work with is good, great even.I can't say that they seem to be very interested or involved in trying to make the product work best for us.They do what needs to be done, and they do it well - but not really going the extra mile.

I use Stata for tasks that SPSS cannot support, but ultimately SPSS has a short learning curve, strong statistical processing, and a mature tool set. SAS is also mature, but more programming based. JMP tries to 2nd guess what I need. NOTE: R (open source) is a great option as well, BUT also is programming only. SPSS hands down has the best menu-driven options.

  • In terms of simple analysis for internal reliability statistics (e.g. Cronbach's Alpha) SPSS was very helpful.
  • SPSS has been found easier to use by some colleagues than Excel, (these colleagues are on the lower end of technological capability) and using SPSS alongside RStudio and Excel has given us a variety of methods to accomplish one task.
  • The lack of readable user guides and online info hindered our ability to breach into the areas of internal validity testing that we were not familiar with. Updated guides are necessary.
