We have tried a couple of others but not in any depth. I found the pricing structure of MailerLite better for our early needs as we didn't know how we would use it, and how that use would evolve as we grew.

I moved to Constant Contact from MailerLite as the reporting and segmentation was deeper. But the editor and the lack of decent forms and landing pages soon brought me back to MailerLite.

Unifying all Adobe products and journeys. Omnichannel marketing. We wish it were easier to build emails, but it requires coding. I think once we get more training and use cases, we will be able to leverage it more effectively and get more out of it. We have other Adobe tools to use with it.

I didn't have much luck when testing other similar tools and since we tested with free plan, we couldn't commit to something else if we couldn't get basic stuff fixed. That's when we switched to MailerLite, and their support was great and super helpful all the way (during our free plan, especially). Plus, they're super budget-friendly for startups, so I highly recommend.

  • Easy build emails and journeys as long as there aren't complex integrations from AEM.
  • Integration with AEM to see what AEM Content fragments are in use in what journeys.

  • Offers a user-friendly interface, making it simple to create beautiful forms, group subscribers, and automate emails.
  • Includes email automation workflows in their free plan - the only provider I know of that doesn't charge you after one month or hit you with "transaction fees".
  • Excellent video tutorial library so you can learn email marketing as a beginner without feeling overwhelmed.

  • Setting up the automations is a bit confusing at first. But the customer support is patient and kind to walk you through the process.
  • The nuances between group and segment, automation and campaign are odd as most other ESPs don't do that. But they have great explainer materials.

Mailerlite is awesome and it does everything I need and then some. They're always innovating and adding new features, and their team is flippin' amazing. Can't see myself ever switching. They may not have everything, but looking at how well their team works, they'll get there for sure and I'm willing to wait.

Usability
AJO certainly requires a firm understanding of how Adobe expects data to be architected. AJO should not be an organizations first experience with an Adobe product. We benefited from ~18 months of experience with RTCDP prior to bringing on AJO. Engageable profiles, data storage, profile usage limits, all factor in when using an omnichannel solution. Marketers must be careful to bring in only the data required for business use cases, and continually evaluate these needs in the face of a changing marketing ecosystem.

I do not rate it perfect because there are times that is not perfectly realiable, and it stops working when you need it the most, especially because the audiences take so long to evaluate and 2 times a dat to do them quickly is really not enough

Sometimes when the manager connects to a support representative, even though the response is very immediate, they are not always able to provide a solution and we end up resolving the issue other ways

Whenever I contact Support, either via email or through online chat, I always get a speedy response that gives me the answer I need. The AI Agent on the online chat is excellent and has helped me so much on numerous occasions.

I give it this rating of 5 because the truth is I started the training with the pages in Adobe and is far more complete and has more explanations that the online training and you can revisit it as many times as you want to, the online non live version is better

The only thing I wanted to mention is that when going into the email edition, when adding labels, I was able to copy and paste the labels before, and now it has changed and I am no longer able to do it without editing the label itself

Journey optimization uses some of the reporting data but it never shows journey in one go. There is lot of initial setup to do.

  • Improved customer experience, allowing you to more confidently target customers with greater precision.
  • Ability to run multiple journeys at the same time based on targeted audiences, instead of blindly performing segmentation and targeting.
  • The interface fonts and icons are sometimes small and may require drilling down to several levels to configure a journey flow. E.g., Applying the right filter when sending an email with the right matching key requires multiple clicks, driving deeper into different levels of schema attributes.

  • Having an email service such as MailerLite is essential to running our Taskforce. It is really the only effective way of communicating with such a large number of people.
