airfocus vs. ProdPad vs. productboard

airfocus is a scalable platform, very useful for any organization, especially for our IT department since it facilitates decision making, helps to establish different priorities, and helps to execute your sprints easily in a simple and visual way.

It's definitely an improvement over our old Enhancements list that anyone could add to and just collected dust on a Share drive. ProdPad allows ideas to be sorted and archived, plus let's people comment on ideas - so it's pretty obvious is something is a good idea with lots of support or just some crackpot theory.

productboard is a fantastic piece of software for capturing product insights. I use it frequently very week to update suggestions for the product for new features. I also use it for enhancement suggestions. When speaking to customers or prospects, if it comes to light that there are features or changes that they would like to see within our software, I log and record these through Insights. Its a great place to capture this information. It provides me a platform to ensure that this information is accurately captured and I can be confident that it will be addressed in an appropriate manner and not get ignored.

• Product prioritization was made simple by compiling stakeholder input on projects to determine the proper order to execute differing projects. Priority poker-like features are a huge timesaver.
• Creating roadmaps could not be easier in airfocus. Creating new projects is intuitive and you can customize settings that allow you to automatically add projects to the overall roadmap. There are a number of choices for the roadmap templates also which is nice depending on individual product managers' needs and expertise.
• Perhaps the most useful feature(s) of airfocus are the collaboration tools. The ability to build out product roadmaps with the entire team's input saves countless hours of in-person prioritization meetings and has made refinement meetings with engineering team go much more smoothly.

• I'd like to see a better way to handle archived/won't do/already released feedback or ideas so that you have a bit of a history of requests and what has happened to them.

They answered every single question we had in a timely fashion and furthermore, they went out of their way to make sure we had all the time we needed to fully evaluate the product. I think the fact that they truly valued customer feedback to improve the product made them feel more like a partner then just an off-the-shelf solution

Excellent quick response from team members, great opportunities to engage in design discussions for upcoming features, never had a bug last long or go unresolved. Overall, support is one of the best parts of working with ProdPad.

It's easy to use, it's customizable. It is ideal for managing multiple product lists, it is transparent and helps keep any work team centralized. It has an intuitive interface, special to track the time to our established goals.

We were just capturing ideas in an Excel workbook, but that forced ownership to a single user for changes and updates and there wasn't any direct integration with project backlog. We actually didn't select ProdPad, a new VP came and brought it with him because it worked so well at his last place. Everybody here jumped on board, though.

Productboard is leaner, easier to use, and cleaner than Aha! I switched from Aha! to productboard and did not regret the decision. Aha! may be better suited to larger operations or teams, but productboard is perfect for smaller teams and solo product managers.
