Vidyard is the only service I've found that allows easy tagging so videos can be easily flagged and updated when a feature or part of our software is changed.
Vidyard allows for tracking of who has viewed the videos and what parts so videos can be revised if the desired outcome is not achieved.
Vidyard allows for playlists, which enables a clear path of training to be established.

Cons

Great visual tool that lets you intelligently communicate what you are seeking to explain to your audience. More features I might suggest would be anything that makes it more interactive with the viewer in real-time.
For the price , it is a great deal as is.

We are quite demanding, so the things we'd like to see improved are more about the roadmap of things we are hoping will be possible soon rather than faults. The recent upgrade to the back end has solved any gripes we've had so far.
To get the cookie tracking right (so you can see who is watching and when) means you've got to follow the right steps for adding the video to outgoing emails. It's possible to get it wrong and mess up the tracking.
I once lost a video recording that I did in the mobile app which was infuriating. Simple fix, record the video using your phone's camera app, and then upload it in the mobile app.

Vidyard 8.0

Vidyard has become an integral part of our software stack. I can't imagine us not using vidyard at this point. I am sure that as time goes on we will continue to evaluate vidyard as well as competitors out there to decide whether we should continue with vidyard or not, but it certainly seems like for the time being, vidyard isn't going anywhere for us.

We use Vidyard Enterprise and Vidyard GoVideo. We have found the usability to meet our needs and would say Vidyard Enterprise use takes someone with moderate knowledge to execute, Vidyard GoVideo works for new or intermediate skill sets to leverage video

Vidyard 9.1

It performs very well. I have never had any bugs while recording, and none of the videos have been impaired or corrupted. I don't believe it integrates with any other software but you could contact the company to learn more. I am not sure if it is only available on Chrome.

We haven't actually needed much support so that in itself says a lot about the software. It was easy to use and had great tool tips that guide you through the tool so you don't even need to reach out to support. There are help files that are there when needed, and some of these are helpful to us as well because again, we didn't have to reach out and wait for support.

I first heard of Vidyard at a marketing conference (INBOUND 2019). I was impressed with the team working at the booth. They were friendly, helpful, and they were able to really show me how Vidyard could help our specific company. I took all that information to the owners when I got back from the conference and it was an easy sell. Since the very beginning, I felt like we were in good hands. We had great people working with us and helping us get everything set up. When there was a new account manager, she reached out (via video message of course) and made it clear that she was happy to help us with whatever we needed.

Now that they have fixed how Marketo can read the Vidyard data I would more likely give this a 10, but when I implemented the system the old issue was a bit annoying.

Alternatives Considered

We had invested in making our own videos using YouTube, and even Camtasia. But they were still us interpreting on behalf of our audience which took forever. Once we found Animoto, it was so much easier to upload the pics our audience would send us. From there we had a 100% positive response, that we had indeed captured what they were trying to say.

I've never evaluated another product like Vidyard. I just used screen recordings with RingCentral before, and I remember the file size being very large and having to add the video as an attachment. So this was a major improvement to be able to shoot videos and easily share with my clients.

Vidyard gives us visibility and control over our videos that free solutions don't offer.
We are able to trigger other marketing campaigns based on the results we see from Vidyard, which we weren't able to do before
Figuring out the exact value is not as easy as it should be because of the way you pull reports from Vidyard.
