Overall Satisfaction with Vidyard

Vidyard is being used by all sales reps and account managers to gain new clients and update our current clients on a more intimate and personal level. We love the ability to use animated thumbnails in our emails that we send out to encourage our clients to watch the video as well as the tracking feature. We can know if our clients or potential clients have watched the video and how much of it they actually watched, which helps with accountability.
  • Tracking views: To hold viewers accountable and remind them to watch if they haven't or vice versa.
  • Customization: Being able to add titles to make the client know and feel that we made the video for them specifically.
  • Thumbnails: The ability for them to be animated and not a static image is a game-changer. Movement in the thumbnail entices the viewer to watch it.
  • Sometimes hard to find a video that another team member made or an earlier video that I made. Back-end organization
  • Unlimited storage without having to go in and delete content to free up space.
  • Timer feature at the bottom so you know how long you have been talking or time limit feature with a pop-up notification if you need to wrap it up. Sometimes I can be long-winded.
  • It's been a great way to communicate with our current clients and give them monthly recaps on progress. They are able to watch it on their own time versus scheduling a time during the day to talk about it. So it's helping with our client retention.
  • It gives our Sales team a way to tailor their messaging and keep leads warmer.
  • Able to text our clients links to the videos so they can watch on their phone. Ease of use.
I'm able to easily add the embed code to an email and love that I'm able to select an animated thumbnail. I also love how I can click on the Vidyard icon in an email that I'm creating and easily access my Vidyard account to shoot a quick video and send.
I wasn't in charge of the implementation process at our agency, but I remember having a training session with a Vidyard team member, then my team lead held a training on how we were going to use it in our department—Client Success. I'd say we started using Vidyard regularly after about a month or two of purchasing the product.
I haven't had many issues with Vidyard but the one time that I did, I remember calling and then getting a call back a bit later. The only time I was frustrated was when the platform wasn't working when I needed to send out a lot of videos on a particular day. I believe they said there was a glitch and it was fixed the next day.
I've never evaluated another product like Vidyard. I just used screen recordings with RingCentral before, and I remember the file size being very large and having to add the video as an attachment. So this was a major improvement to be able to shoot videos and easily share with my clients.
Vidyard is very well suited for a Sales team to better engage their prospects and tailor messaging to them. Especially now that face-to-face meetings are happening less due to COVID-19. Vidyard's well suited for account managers who need to give a client a quick tutorial of how to do something and need to shoot them an email or text with the link. Eliminates phone calls and time wasted playing phone tag. Vidyard may not be well suited for companies that have patient sensitive information—it could violate HIPPA guidelines if they share patient information without the security measures in place (encrypted messages, etc).
