Apigee has been great when managing the quota based access to the APIs. It is really good and suitable when considering proxying the in-house server endpoints access with the way it provides security with API Key validation and OAuth.

- We use Zapier to automatically email relevant team members about events that are specific to their region. This data comes through our billing system and Zapier is able to decipher the region and based on conditions we have set up, forward emails to the relevant staff members.
- Zapier can capture webhooks and send these wherever you want. We have set up webhooks for errors in our application. These are immediately forwarded to message tools so our team know about the issue immediately, rather than having to log into our monitoring system.
- We have several apps that have similar information and we want to keep them in sync. However, they do not have native integrations with each other. Zapier can take events from one app and post these into the other app.

- Only one user can be active in a proxy at a time

- Unable to rename or delete policies without bumping revision
- Why would anyone give a js policy one name, display name something else, and script a different name?
- 'Trace' limited to only 20 transactions
- UI allows users to add target servers, but users must utilize the api to turn on SSL.
- I'm sure there's more, they just aren't coming to mind right now.
- Apigee forgets (expires?) your password at random intervals without notice. Every few weeks, or days, sometimes even three times in one day, I'll attempt to login to Apigee and my password will be 'wrong'. I've reset my password and Apigee still claims it's wrong. I've had to reset my password three times before it finally let me log back in.

- We have multiple forms on Formsite that we need to connect to SharpSpring. It looks like we're going to have to do some additional work to get it to filter them separately. This just came up, so we are still working on it.
- I really have no other complaints. It's been a great, easy solution to what otherwise would be a complex problem. We also used it to send leads from Eventbrite to SharpSpring.

I am not the one deciding whether to use apigee or not really. But personally, I would recommend the use of it as developing APIs on it is easy. And as a mediator between backend servers, we could easily modify request and responses in it without touching any backend code while having a centralize gateway to access our backend APIs too.

Zapier is very user-friendly. They walk you through each step of the zap-building process in an orderly and easy to understand way. Each step of the zap is tested before moving onto the next step. For simple zaps, you can have them up and running within minutes. For more complicated zaps, it may take some experimentation, but Zapier is there to help you troubleshoot.

Quite hard to get support, at least on the coding side, when we encounter blockers. But general concerns, they would schedule a call to you for them to get a whole picture of your concern. Albeit in my experience, bad really as they haven't replied about the progress, but otherwise seems to have been fixed.

Before we purchased Zapier, I contacted support and asked them if Zapier could support my intended workflow (this is actually a selection on their support form - awesome). Within 2 hours, I was contacted by a support team member who seemed sure it would work, but granted me premium access for 2 weeks to try it out for myself. Sure enough, it did! Ever since then, support has replied rapidly to any problems I have experienced and answered my questions within a few sentences.

Zapier is the biggest name and game in town. I didn't really go shop elsewhere, and once I started using it, there was no going to others for the things that it does. It was simple enough and inexpensive enough that I just don't have a good incentive to try other solutions out there.
