Only Paylocity has comparable technology but costs way more. The customer support at all 3 of these companies is a nightmare. This isn't news to anyone who has been in business for a while. If you're a broker, ADP and Paychex are going to try and steal your clients every day.
Heartland was a good fit for our company because they were willing to work with us to create the reports we need. A former payroll resource wanted to charge for reporting changes.
I like the personal communication with my own rep, the onboarding, the price, and the additional login for CPA. None of these were offered with the payroll company we used prior to Heartland Payroll.
I've considered moving payroll over to QuickBooks online so that everything is in one place, but it would probably take too much work considering that our current system works really well. I think QuickBooks would confuse me, honestly. There are other systems that offer …
We have used both Paychex and ADP and find them to be annoying. They both share your information so we get constant sales calls and emails for all their products and we can never get rid of them because they do not have an unsubscribe option. They do have better online …
The verification data is pulled on demand with Vault Verify. When using The Work Number by Equifax, the data was only pulled 2 times a month, so we would still get requests for more up-to-date verifications.
When I was searching for an income and employment verification vendor, I spoke to a rep at Equifax and a rep at Vault Verify. The rep at Equifax was more of a salesperson whereas the person at Vault Verify was day-to-day customer service. Also, Equifax did not have a monthly …
I don't remember who we looked at besides Vault Verify at that time but I know once we looked at Vault Verify and the services they provided we were sold and haven't regretted this discussion at all.
I used ADP The Work Number for years before moving to a different company and implementing Vault Verify. Vault is so easy to use for admins and team members, more so than the Work Number. Also, HR hardly ever has to log into Vault Verify where I was in ADP Work Number all of …
We changed payroll companies from Paycom to Heartland this year at the recommendation of our insurance agent who insisted they would integrate with the EASE system, which tracks employee benefits and deductions. However, 8 weeks into it, I regret my decision, since the setup hasn't been completed yet. The lack of responsiveness in some cases is astounding and often we have to ask 3, 4, and 5 times for something to be done. I hate to think what will happen after we are "handed off" from the payroll implementation team to the regular schmucks. We still are not able to track PTO and time off and we have been begging for the self-service feature to be turned on for employees so they can change addresses, bank account info, etc. Their training is NONEXISTENT and their manual is abysmal. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! I wish I could go back to Paycom!
Cheap payroll processing but [in my opinion] you get what you pay for
[In my experience] great ability to frustrate their customers
Geat for the economy because [I feel] they hire so many different people and [in my experience] they don't hang around [so] you don't know who your rep is
We get various requests for employment verification letters from current employees. It would be nice to have a feature within vault verify that could house various letter templates and allow us to direct all our employees there. Rather than creating a letter inhouse.
Vault Verify has been the best company to work with. The implementation was so easy, quick, and smooth, the customer service is beyond that of other HRIS systems, and the level of trust with I have for Vault Verify to handle our verifications of employment are beyond what my expectations were. All of this and we get money back for every verification that is comppleted was almost too good to be true, but it is true! I recommend this company to everyone who asks! I work with a lot of vendors and they are by far the best
I never have trouble reaching customer support. They always are able to assist with fixing any problems that arise. There honestly haven't been many issues at all. Only ones I've created :)
