AWS Cloud9 vs. DbVisualizer vs. DataGrip

When I am working with a large team of developers. Also, when a security policy, you are not allowed to install any app on your laptop. Cloud 9 is well integrated with Cloud commit. So we don't have to spend time in configurations.

DbVis is our tool of choice when we need to work with a wide variety of Db vendors and versions. It allows us to replace several proprietary tools for accessing and, in part, managing database systems. It gives our customers and us a single base to work on databases. No need for us or them to install, learn, and pay for multiple solutions. If one would, for example, use ONLY one dbms, e.g., PostgreSQL, then DBVis could be a bit of an overkill.

You will like DataGrip; it is the best software to channel and influence data systems and efficiently. It will help you be more efficient and productive in exporting computer data; it is very effective. There are no errors, and you will feel comfortable using them. It promotes data quality and has excellent graphics to represent your information through statistical processes.

• Confusing documentation - AWS's documentation remains quite confusing, and the layout of other services/settings that you have to use with Cloud9 can be a bit of a handful.
• Sometimes slow - As the size of a project increases, the editor gets increasingly slower, and starts slowing down the browser overall.
• Long setup process - The setup for Cloud9 can be hard and tough, especially since the documentation is quite hard to understand.

• Small, but noticeable: it would be nice to be able to highlight just one column of a data output for copy/paste by clicking on the column header (a feature some of us are accustomed to from SQL Server Management Studio)
• Is there an ability to bulk import an excel file to a table in a connected SQL Server in DbVis? If so, I haven't figured that out yet. I still largely use Microsoft SSMS to import data to our team's personal SQL Server, but can easily query that server via DbVis)
• (I really don't have any major complaints - our company has tried to steer users toward DBeaver for YEARS, which I cannot stand. DbVis knocks the beaver out of the water)

• An easier way to have a pool saved queries that can opened quickly

The interface for Cloud9 needs some improvement. It is simply not as powerful and intelligent as a local text editor would be and thus it lacks the capabilities of fast filling when coding. Otherwise, I think it has a fair interface that they have tried mimicking an IDE.

I use this tool for several hours each day, spanning many years in various projects. It's wide support for various database types while keeping consistency within the UI for each is important when working with various databases day in and day out.

Usability has two aspects, being a complete tool and being easy... DataGrip has a lot of features but it is big, not clear how to use most of the things and most people won't need them. In my opinion, usability is good enough but not friendly.

Customer support is managed by the Cloud support team. I won't be able to comment on details, but it's fast.

[AWS] Cloud9 offers specific features not available in the competition: Code collaboration using the chat features is the highlight which sets it apart. [The] code completion feature makes [it] very similar to the offline IDE like eclipse. It's much easier to use compared to Codeanywhere. It provides terminal access to EC2 instances and hence other amazon services.

[DbVisualizer] is pretty easy to use compared to IntelliJ because of it's simplicity. The performance is very good, it feels as good as a native application compared to the other two softwares I used for the same purpose. It's very cheaper compared to the other two tools and that's a big selling point.

DataGrip provides a single UI for many DBMS platforms, instead of using one for each. Because of that, you can migrate things between platforms using the tool and "look across" all databases at once.
